1.Be prepared mentally and psychologically
a) Accepting psychological changes:
Learn more about menopaus and prepare yourself to face physiological and psychological changes calmly and confidently.
b) Love your body:
Take care of your body and fully understand the changes it is experiencing: check your blood and healthy annually.
2.Increase Healthy Living Practice
a) Give priority to nutritional food:
Increase intake of foods rich in nutrients and fibres. In fact, middle-aged and elderly woman are advised to avoid foods high in fat and cholesterol to prevent from getting cardiovascular diseases. Practice a balanced diet by consuming a variety of nutrients.
Women at high risk of suffering osteoporosis have to increase intake a food high in calcium in preparing for menopause.
b) Exercise regularly:
The need to exercise increase with age in order to optimise body functions.
c) Take up hobbies to spice up your life:
Hobbies are like flavours. Life becomes more interesting when you spend some time engaging in things you enjoy like playing piano or chess, painting, keeping fish, collecting stamps, listening to music, karaoke, reading novels, engaging in social activities and so on. In short, you will feel contented when you are occupied.
